Available with reaches from 5.5 m to 7.0 m and powered by a high-performance 70 hp hydraulic system, the new 72 Series is designed for farmers, contractors and local authorities and features a new design that marks the arrival of McConnel's next generation of Power Arms.

Among the machine's key new features is the redesigned 180-litre hydraulic tank, which includes a two-piece rear guard and a moulded polypropylene top cover. Designed to improve access to the hydraulic system, the new rear guard is hinged on one side for quick opening and easy access for maintenance.

The new one-piece top cover is moulded from impact-resistant polypropylene and designed to minimise material build-up and prevent the ingress of dust and moisture.

An optional integrated debris blower is located in the rear guard and removes road debris and improves cooling by drawing cool air over the pumps and tanks.

Introduction

Seven different arm types, including 5.5 m and 6.0 m straight arms, 6.5 m and 7.0 m telescopic arms and a 5.5 m and 6.0 m Variable Forward Reach (VFR) option. VFR allows operators to position the impact head next to the cab for improved visibility and comfort. VFR also helps with manoeuvrability when mowing around obstacles and working in confined environments like narrow roads.

Advanced arm solutions synonymous with McConnel Power Arms, such as Hy-reach geometry, parallel arm geometry and Power Slew, are all standard features on the new 72 Series.

At the heart of the machine is a 70 hp gear hydraulic system that utilises McConnel's own designed and manufactured hydraulic valve block. Specifically designed for McConnel Power Arms, the high-performance hydraulic system includes electric rotor control, Soft-Start rotor activation and a high-capacity oil cooler as standard.

Mounting

All models utilise a heavy-duty main frame designed for three-point suspension. Users looking for increased stability or to reduce the load on the tractor's suspension can choose either a four-point hitch or a five-point axle mounting base, both of which can be retrofitted.
